Brand Connect is an affiliate marketing platform that connects between influencers such as Instagramers, YouTubers, Naver bloggers, etc and brand companies. The platform enables brand companies to check influencers' rankings, all activities on the channel, and any influence indicators, allowing them to suggest collaborations with an influencer. The main goal is to boost the influencer’s growth and profit and for Brand Conapany’s successful marketing through branded content.
What is Branded Content?
Branded content refers to a marketing strategy where content is created or commissioned by advertisers with the goal of promoting their brand and building brand awareness. The content can take various forms such as articles, videos, social media posts, podcasts, and more. The main objective of branded content is to engage and connect with the target audience on a deeper level by sharing brand values, stories, and messages that align with the brand's identity.
Why do we build a design UI system and
redesign from the previous version?
1. Adding features makes UX become increasingly complex.
This is the previous old version design. We know the need to go back to the initial stage of the user flow to gain a better understanding. There are many hiding functions and confusing design elements even designers don’t know. We thoroughly reviewed all the service pages and made a comprehensive list of UX/UI improvements. The main problem was as features kept being added, the UX flow became increasingly complex and tangled. In this phase, we discovered pain points in the user journey and identified problems by conducting usability tests.
2. Brand Connect has three page views, influencer, brand company, and user (neither influencer nor brand company).
we have three page views a Brand company, an influencer, and a normal user based on log-in. that means it’s so many design pages and also they look similar but have different UI and UX flow, so they should be organised by users and by cases. Therefore, It was essential to manage many pages with common design elements and usability.
3. To streamline communication among designers, developers, and project managers.
All components are classified into modules with characteristics by UI cases, simplifying the process of importing and using them efficiently for developers and other designers. We save time and resources for design and development when modifications are needed.
4. Without a design system guide, build up subtle alterations at the designer's discretion.
As the platform expands, establishing well-defined standards and guidelines has become crucial. For example, the brand's primary colour(#FF8328) and the text colour(#FF7612) are designed to be subtly different, text colour usually is a little bit darker and more apparent than the primary colour. If you are not in charge of the designer, this is possibly the incorrect application of text colour to the primary colour. It happened a lot.
